Music & Movement with Trust Drum Circles

Music & Movement with Trust Drum Circles

A joyful, inclusive experience to move your body, make music, and connect with community.

Join us for this new monthly series designed to strengthen community connection and support overall wellbeing. This free, beginner-friendly gathering features live music, group drumming, cultural learning, mindfulness, and is open to all(ages 12+, a kid-focused circle may be announced in the future).

Presented by the The Summit FM Wellness Program in partnership with Trust Drum Circles, this uplifting session invites you to experience the healing power of music, rhythm, and mindful movement.

What you’ll experience:

  • Live guitar music from acclaimed local musician and recovery coach Marc Lee Shannon

  • A beginner-friendly African drum circle led by Maseh Nchang of Trust Drum Circles, arrive on-time or early for beginner hand drum lessons

  • Gentle, chair-based yoga and mindfulness guided by licensed therapist and Summit FM Wellness Coordinator Sarah Swirsky

Marc’s soulful guitar sets a calming foundation, while Maseh’s rhythmic facilitation invites energy, play, and connection. Sarah weaves in gentle movement and simple education on how music and rhythm support nervous-system regulation and emotional wellbeing.

No experience is necessary—just come as you are and leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and inspired.
